Just like normal designers, I too like photography. I’m not a hardcore photographer, or consider photography as a source of income, but since I bought the Canon PowerShot G10 almost two weeks ago, I’m trying at best to lure out my photography skills again. I now carry the camera regularly, and shoot anything whenever I got the chance. I just love the camera, it is surely money well spent. For now :)
My Flickr account was actually created quite a while ago, but I haven’t really decided on how to use it, since Facebook’s photo app already served me well. Now, I decided that my hobby photographs should go into Flickr, and everything else should go into Facebook. In short, Flickr = serious, Facebook = the rest. It’s about time that I take this hobby a bit more serious.
Click here to visit my Flickr photostream. And I’ve also reopened the Gallery section of this website. It contains 20 of my latest photos.
Following a Facebook notes post by a friend of mine, I found out that D’Masiv is just one of those idiotic douche bags that probably don’t know shit or two about music, and that they’re about to join in Ahmad Dhani’s plagiaristic band wagon. All they can do is rip things out from foreign bands and crossing their fingers hoping that no one will found out. Well, you see, if you’re the Pulau Nyamuk’s local band that simply does not go outside the island, you could probably escape that. But not here, you jackass.
Here’s the list of their ripped songs:
Cinta Ini Membunuhku = I Don’t Love You – My Chemical Romance
Diam Tanpa Kata = Awakening – Switchfoot
Dan Kamu = Head Over Heels (in This Life) – Switchfoot
CInta Sampai Disini = Into The Sun – Lifehouse
Sebelah Mata = The Take Over, The Break’s Over – Fall Out Boy
Dilemma = Soldier’s Poem – Muse
Tak Pernah Rela = Is It Any Wonder – Keane
Lukaku = Drive – Incubus
And here’s some YouTube videos for further proof:
Yes, people can be inspired and make another artwork out of it. But when you copy the whole thing and call it yours, you better join the monkey-balls-sucker group. And on top of that, judging from their defensive comments, fans of D’Masiv (let’s just assume that they are fans) are not any smarter as well. Here are some examples, taken from the YouTube videos above:
Apparently, they all share the dumbness and the lack of brain cells. This is what I call typical Indonesian commentators, talk first, and then think.
Today I started using Flickr. Yes, I know, where was I back in 2004? But for some weird reason, it just never got the attention it deserves from me. So I am now going to start using the service apart from my Facebook albums, and I’m also trying to figure out how to integrate both Facebook and Flickr as I am writing this post.
My next target would be, integrating Flickr to this site, so that I can gradually remove the expenses of having to host my image gallery myself :D.
Note:
This post will definitely come out in my Facebook Notes. However, it does not apply to that context.
This blog contains my personal views about many things which you may or may not get offended. Unless otherwise noted, they do not interfere with my professional work whatsoever.
