First Post for the New Site + Life Updates

    Tuesday, October 10th, 2006

So here it is, after weeks of development. And looking at the date of my last post, it has been exactly a month. This time, let’s hope I could do a better job on maintaining my blog. Basically this site is a redesign from container. with quirks here and there, and a blog engine change to WordPress, which I found a bit less frustrating to customize to my needs. Other than that, I just redesigned the whole layout to a cleaner and a more hygiene look.

As for life, my life is running on a faster pace right now. I have a lot of work in Neuro-Designs after the expansion on July, I still have my ongoing final project and hopefully this would be my last semester on the campus, and I’m the new musical coordinator for the Imago Dei, as well as a caretaker for my church’s Audio Visual Team. Combining all those things in one life could send my heart dropping from the Terror of Tower sometimes.

Another good news also came from JVC when I got my handycam back a while ago, after that unfortunate incident. The bad news is that I have to pay half the price of a new handycam of the same type for the repairs. But nevertheless, it’s still better than having to pay a new handycam after all. So, now we could do those unimportant video projects me and my officemates have been planning…

Oh yeah, Ario Pratomo was selected as BusinessWeek’s Asia’s Best Entrepreneur Under 25. A huge congrats to him!

    Color Management

    Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

Finally I decided to fiddle around with the color settings on my Mac, and for the very first time, I bumped into the closest color setting ever in years. Well, it’s still not that exactly accurate, but I think this would do fine until I can get a professional service working on the calibrations. I am currently using the Colormatch RGB setting, and it’s rather surprising when you can get a close match using a preset option.

    Imago Dei Publication Preparations

    Wednesday, September 7th, 2005

Yipee!! I already got most of the things under control. Event booklets, check. Standing banner, check. Poster, check. Warta Jemaat inserts, check. CD duplication, check. CD covers, check. CD labels, check. Flash presentation, check. Invitation cards, check. Music books, not yet. Well, you can’t get everything in an instant, but that is only one left from ten. So I really do hope I can finish everything up by next Wednesday. Big thanks to Yona who already helped me with the photographs.

    Imago Dei Publication Sets

    Monday, September 5th, 2005

Today was a very very tiring day… My day started by waking up late, at 11 AM, so I continued with lunch right after that, hehehe. I then went to Andira’s to print out a standing banner for the upcoming Great is the Lord performance, and also a set of stickers to be put on every single one’s music book for the performance. After that I went straight to Subur to print out 50 invitation cards, also for the performance. And because of the bridge repairs on Abdul Madjid, people seem to be taking detours all over Kemang and created a massive traffic jam on each ends of the region.

Anyway, the print out process at Subur didn’t take too long, and Pak Iwan called me when I was on my way back to Hi Res, telling me that several of the printed materials are done. And because I’m still at the Dharmawangsa region, I decided to stop by at Tulodong as well for a moment. And eventually, while I was there, we talked about pretty much everything, PCs, Macs, cameras, and even consoles. I never knew Pak Iwan is a console gamer too, and I also found out that he’s a relative to Tante Grace, one of my neighbors. This is indeed a small small world.

Anyway, after picking up the event booklets and CD stickers at Silver, I went back to Hi Res to pick up the standing banner and stickers. And yes, because of the bridge repairs, I still have to make detours just to get home, like everyone else. Thank God the toll road was quite empty, otherwise I might’ve gone nuts.

    Busy Months

    Friday, August 12th, 2005

The next two months will be a busy month for me, especially in church. A few days ago, Ratna asked me if I’m willing to participate on the next Bulan Keluarga committee. So since she’s the head of committee, at least I know that the committee is in good hands, and therefore I’ll be working on the publication materials for the whole event.

At the same time, Imago Dei is also preparing for the performance held on next month. And there are so many materials I have to catch up from various sources for the event.

And yesterday, Mike just gave me a brief regarding his next website project.

All of the above concludes that I have three new major works to focus myself into… Phew…
