Gameboard Night

Last night’s Gameboard Night ends at 2.30AM today, believe me that 5 turns in RISK 2210 A.D. doesn’t seem that short. Actually the game itself starts a little late, so we guess it’s quite reasonable for the game itself to end at that time.
Our history with RISK boardgames has come from several years ago. It starts out when we played the PlayStation version at Yero’s house. Then Disti remembered that she actually has a Dutch version of the game. Then we entered a some-sort of RISK-fan state where there seems no other boardgame other than RISK.
The next step was when we decided to create a new version of RISK, called the RISK+++. It was based from RISK++, an extension to RISK originally created by Nico and Cosander Schoonderwoerd. Of course, we made a new world map using an ACTUAL world map, colored them out, create new play cards, and modify some of the house rules to our satisfaction. However, we have not played that version of ours even until now.
After a while of absence, Yero came up with RISK: Star Wars Clone Wars Edition her mom bought in Singapore. We tested the game during a retreat sometime ago, but the game has its limitation of 4 players. The game itself is still entertaining to play, probably because most of us are Star Wars fans.
When I went to Singapore last year, I saw the RISK 2210 A.D. in a hobby shop at Bugis Junction. I was immediately drawn to it but decided not to buy it at that time. When Dad went to Singapore last week, I took the chance to ask him to get the boardgame if it’s still there. For a price of SGD99.00, I must say the game is nowhere near disappointing.

Hmm… Picky… Picky… I know this is old news, but I just started to think which console I might end up buying in the future… Would it be the
