Meeting Boredom

Tuesday, January 24th, 2006

I have to admit that today’s Easter meeting at church was boring as hell (I don’t even know if using the term “hell” for a church-related thing is legal). But it is true, Pak Iwan, Widi, and me seem to be trapped in the middle of a rather formal and constant conversation. So it’s either everyone except us is very formal and serious, or we’re just too used to a quite non-formal meeting conducts. And I found it quite hard to think creative in meetings like these, and that’s bad, because I’m in the publication section on the Easter team. Just think of it like having a meeting with the country’s representatives… Yikes…

Imago Dei Practice

Sunday, October 9th, 2005

After the performance last month, we started the ensemble practice again today. And we are not getting the complete line-up. Most of the members are sick, either from flu or chicken pox. So there were only 12 members doing the practice. But… We do have a new member, his name is Abe, and he is also a Remaja Junior member at church (the category of age of 8th and 9th grade students). He’s been asking Kara when will the practice start again. And apparently he came today. People said that he has a good skill on the guitar. If it’s true, then he’s a valuable addition indeed to the line-up.

Bowling at Pin

Friday, September 30th, 2005

I attended the Pemuda bowling event today. The event was actually replacing the fellowship we regularly have on Fridays, and this time we get to bowl for free. Actually, we only have to pay 5.000 for the shoes, and the rest of the fee was paid by our fellowship available budget.

And, you know… Really, I suck at bowling. I never get the ball to slide straight, or even curved the way Relix bowled. Probably because today was the first time I bowled, but probably, I just sucked at bowling, hahahaha. I still prefer billiard to bowling though…

Great is the Lord

Saturday, September 17th, 2005

Yay! We finally done it! We’ve done the performance today, and two months of intensive rehearsals really paid off. For the first time, we really played good! And Oom Anto and Rian really did a great job on the sound setting for the stage.

And as for me… Phew… Back to normal life!

Imago Dei Publication Preparations

Wednesday, September 7th, 2005

Yipee!! I already got most of the things under control. Event booklets, check. Standing banner, check. Poster, check. Warta Jemaat inserts, check. CD duplication, check. CD covers, check. CD labels, check. Flash presentation, check. Invitation cards, check. Music books, not yet. Well, you can’t get everything in an instant, but that is only one left from ten. So I really do hope I can finish everything up by next Wednesday. Big thanks to Yona who already helped me with the photographs.
