I Lost My ATM Card
Sunday, December 23, 2007
This sure is something that I prefer not to happen during the holidays, but this afternoon, I lost my ATM card. Actually I was withdrawing some money to order some pizza from Izzi Pizza, and to pick-up Mom’s sate order for my sisters’ birthday event. When I was about to pay for the pizzas, I realized that I’ve lost my ATM card. In fact, I didn’t remember if I already put the card into my wallet or not after I leave the ATM booth. I went straight back to the booth to check and coincidentally found Oom Teguh Budiono on the very same machine that I used. He said that he didn’t see any card dangling on the slot when he arrived, so I figured someone must’ve took it and decided, if possible, to use my card.
I then immediately called BCA to have it blocked temporarily. They informed me that the last transaction was that money withdrawal I took, so no worries on lost funds there. I also went to the nearby police station earlier this evening to have a report filed, so I can process it to get a replacement card from the bank right after Christmas. To my surprise, the police didn’t give me a hard time with the report, nor asking some “rewards” like I expected them to. The good thing is, it’s my secondary ATM card, so I could care less if it’s missing. It’s still an unexpected and annoying chore to deal with, though.
